Creating a prescription in EkaScribe is designed to fit naturally into your OPD workflow. From starting a consultation to generating a final Rx, the entire process is simple, fast, and built to reduce documentation effort during patient visits.

With EkaScribe, doctors can:

  • Access patients directly from the My OPD Queue.
  • Reduce manual typing and documentation effort
  • Generate prescriptions in just a few steps
  • Use default or customized Rx templates
  • Maintain a smooth and uninterrupted consultation workflow

Instead of switching between multiple systems or spending extra time preparing prescriptions manually, EkaScribe helps doctors move from consultation to final Rx generation seamlessly.

Creating an Rx in EkaScribe is simple and can be completed within a few steps. From selecting the patient to generating the final prescription, the entire process is designed to make OPD consultations faster and more efficient.

Below are the steps to create an Rx in EkaScribe.

Step 1: Start the Consultation

There are two ways to begin a session in EkaScribe:

  • Start a consultation using Start Recording
  • Select a patient directly from the Queue

The Queue is now linked with the Scribe app, which means patients available in your OPD can automatically appear inside EkaScribe. This makes it easier to quickly select the patient and begin the consultation without switching systems.

Once the patient is selected, simply start recording and continue the consultation naturally. Doctors can focus on interacting with the patient while EkaScribe captures the conversation in the background.

Step 2: Complete the Session

After the consultation is completed:

  • Stop the recording
  • Complete the session
  • Review the generated output

EkaScribe converts the consultation into a clean and structured clinical output, helping doctors save time on manual typing and documentation.

Instead of spending additional time preparing prescriptions after every consultation, doctors can quickly review the generated output and move directly to the next step.

This makes the overall OPD workflow faster and more efficient, especially during busy consultation hours.

Step 3: Select the Rx Template

Once the session is completed, you can choose the template format in which you want the final prescription to be generated.

EkaScribe already provides default templates that can be used instantly, and doctors can also customize template formats directly from the EkaScribe Desktop App based on their consultation workflow and prescription preferences.

In addition to template customization, header, footer, and other clinic branding customizations can currently be managed from the Dr Web account.

This flexibility allows doctors to maintain their preferred prescription style and clinic branding while still benefiting from AI-powered documentation.

Step 4: Generate the Final Rx

After selecting the required template, EkaScribe automatically generates the final prescription in the selected format.

The Rx is then ready for printing or saving as a PDF.

From consultation to prescription generation, the entire process takes only a few simple steps. EkaScribe helps reduce manual effort, improves workflow efficiency, and enables doctors to create professional prescriptions seamlessly during their daily practice.
